Reading and using Glass Garden Notes means accepting the rules below. They are short, in the manner of a well-built jar.

Our jars, your shelf

Every note is editorial writing about terrariums we built and watched ourselves, offered as general method and ideas. It is not horticultural advice for your specific plants, glass, climate or home, and it does not replace your own judgement or a local expert's. Plants, moss and soil vary enormously by region; some plants are unsuitable for homes with pets or small children, and checking that before you plant is your responsibility, not a website's. Glass breaks, lids stick, jars get heavy — handle yours with ordinary care.

Whose notes these are

The text, illustrations and design are the property of Glass Garden Notes. Link freely, quote a line or two with credit and a link back, and ask us in writing before republishing a note in full or lightly disguised.

Fair use of the site

No unlawful use, no attempts to break or flood the site, no bulk scraping of its contents.

The limits of a notebook

We keep the notes accurate and current as best we can and correct what we get wrong. We can't warrant that every method suits every jar, plant or room, and, to the extent the law allows, Glass Garden Notes accepts no liability for harm or loss connected with use of the site.
